Corporate and commercial law
Corporate and commercial law comprises a major part of our work. We support small and medium sized businesses with advice on day-to-day matters, in both general and more specialized legal areas. We offer advice on all types of contracts and contract drafting and negotiating, incorporation and transformation of companies, due diligence, representation of companies and participation in board of directors and/or general assembly meetings, etc.
Real estate law
We advise on real estate related issues including but not limited to land searches, sale-purchase agreements and land registrations, especially in the context of Greek investment laws offering residence permits to foreign investors who purchase real estate above a certain threshold. Additionally, we offer advice and draft commercial lease agreements, rentals, land and building regulations, etc. We undertake land searches, and advise on land burdens and their clearance, on mortgage settlements, pre-contractual agreements etc.
Electronic Communications Law
The office has a long-standing involvement in this area, and has advised and represented Greek and EU companies in Greece in legal and regulatory issues relating to telecommunications and internet related matters. We have advised on VSAT networks, obtaining licenses, the purchase of a FWA license, applying for and obtaining regulatory clearance at a local and EU level etc. We also have sufficient field experience in helping our clients develop their internet and e-commerce activities, in matters such as e-invoicing, e-signatures, electronic data protection etc. Since 2018, we are also offering advice on GDPR related issues.
Labour & employment law
As part of our one-stop shop strategy to our corporate clients operating in Greece, we also represent them in their labor and employment law issues and disputes. We have accumulated experience in drafting all types of employment contracts for Greek nationals or expatriates, and have been involved in negotiations with labor unions, handling cases with the appropriate public services, representing our clients before the employment offices and labor tribunals and the courts, advising and drafting workplace regulations and human resources employee policies etc.
Investment law
In recent years, Greece has introduced a laws and regulations aiming to induce foreign investors to invest in Greece through incentives such as the award of a residence permit to such investors and their families. We were one of the first legal practices to be involved in representing and advising foreign investors in this process, and have thus gained considerable experience in supporting potential investors across all steps of the procedure. We have advised investors from Russia, Egypt, Armenia, Turkey, the Middle East and China.
Litigation
Our office successfully represents its clients before all courts, tribunals and judicial committees in Greece, and particularly in civil litigation disputes.
