Prof. Dr. Konstantinos D Magliveras graduated from the School of Law, University of Athens. He was awarded postgraduate degrees in European Community Law from the University of Exeter and the University of East Anglia as well as a D. Phil in Public International Law from Oxford University. He has carried out post-doctoral research at Erasmus University Rotterdam and has been a Visiting Researcher at the University of California at Berkeley and at Humboldt University Berlin. He has been a member of staff at the Schools of Law of the Universities of Aberdeen and Sussex, and is currently Associate Professor at the University of the Aegean. He is a practicing lawyer and a member of the Athens Bar Association specializing in European Union funded programs, public procurement and public law. He has acted as an expert on Greek migration law for the International Organization for Migration, Geneva, and for the Centre for Migration and Intercultural Studies, University of Antwerp, Belgium. He has published more than 100 books, monographs, and articles. He speaks Greek, English, German, and has a working knowledge French.
